The infrastructure to charge electric vehicles (EVs) has been an object of interest for retail investors ever since mass adoption of EVs seemed a possibility. Clearly companies like Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) have an interest in spearheading their own EV charging network in order to drive adoption and achieve scale. Likewise, the legacy German automakers like Daimler (OTCPK:DMLRY) and BMW (BMWYY) have shown similar intentions with their collective interests in the Ionity joint venture.
